About Rabiya
Education:
B.E (Biotechnology)
M.Tech (Biotechnology & Biochemical Engineering
Research Interests: Bioprocess and bio-product development, Biopolymer, Downstream processing, Structure elucidation

Research Experience:
Rabiya is a senior research fellow pursuing her Ph.D. in Bioprocess and Bioproduct development from Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. She is interested in process development for the production of exopolysaccharides from microorganisms. She has optimized chemical and physical parameters for production of exopolysaccharides from a thermophilic isolate of Bacillus licheniformis by using smart modelling and optimization algorithm. In addition, she is intrigued in purification and structure elucidation of novel exopolysaccharide. She is motivated to explore the potential application of exopolysaccharides in enhanced oil recovery.
